This series explores the duality of political affiliations within interpersonal relationships. Moral conflict among families and acquaintances heavily influences these compositions with the continual presence of the clown motif. The clown was chosen for its cultural significance as a caricature of the American middle and lower class. The images are physically cut, much like that of the ties severed by morality differences. It is a critique on American culture in regards to socioeconomic and political discourse.
